Medicare is a federal health insurance program primarily for people aged 65 and older, though it also covers certain younger individuals with disabilities or specific medical conditions. It’s made up of several parts:

Part A covers hospital stays and skilled nursing care Part B includes outpatient services and preventive care Part C or Medicare Advantage, bundles A and B (and often D) into one plan offered by private insurers Part D helps cover prescription drug costs.

Understanding which parts you need, and when to enroll is where many people feel overwhelmed. That’s where Kingsgate steps in.

Your Initial Enrollment Period begins three months before your 65th birthday, includes your birthday month, and extends three months after. That’s a seven-month window to enroll in Medicare Parts A and B without penalties. If you’re still working and covered by employer insurance, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period later. But missing your IEP without other coverage can lead to late enrollment penalties - especially for Part B and Part D. Kingsgate helps you navigate these timelines with precision, ensuring you don’t miss key dates or opportunities - proactively working with you throughout the year.

Medicare is personal. Your health needs, lifestyle, and financial goals all play a role in choosing the right coverage. At Kingsgate, we take a whole-portfolio approach, coordinating your Medicare plan with your broader insurance strategy. We start with a conversation. Our advisors listen closely to your needs, explain your options in language you can understand, and help you compare plans - based on coverage, cost, and convenience.

We know Ohio. Our team understands the regional provider networks, prescription formulas, and plan nuances that are often overlooked. And we don’t stop at enrollment. We proactively review your coverage each year, help you adjust as your needs change, and advocate for you during claims or transitions. From Medicare to life insurance, home and auto, and business coverage, we help you build a protection plan that grows with you - leaving nothing to chance.

Enrolling through Kingsgate is simple, transparent, and supportive. We begin with an initial consultation—virtually or in person—to understand your health history, current coverage, and future goals. We’ll explain Medicare’s structure and help you decide whether Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan is right for you. Next, we walk you through available plans, including premiums, deductibles, provider networks, and drug coverage. We’ll help you weigh trade-offs and prioritize what matters most.

Once you’ve chosen a plan, we handle the paperwork and ensure everything is submitted correctly and on time. We’ll also help you set up any supplemental coverage you may need. Each fall, during Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period, we check in to make sure your plan still fits. If your prescriptions, doctors, or health needs change, we’ll help you switch plans seamlessly.

We know Medicare can feel complex, but it doesn’t have to be. At Kingsgate, we simplify the process, offering thoughtful guidance and transparent planning that lead to lasting financial well-being. We check in before life checks you, helping you stay protected and prepared. With deep local roots and over four decades of experience, we’re more than advisors - we’re your dedicated partners in protection.

Whether you’re turning 65, retiring soon, or helping a loved one navigate Medicare, Kingsgate is here to help. Let’s start with a conversation. We’ll walk you through every step - with clarity, care, and confidence.
